Job Summary
Industrial Mechanic I is responsible for the care, maintenance, and continued operability of the facility and all associated equipment, adhering to quality specifications and safety standards. responsibilities include routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance; maintaining documentation of maintenance activities; coordinating daily assignments with the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead; procuring repair parts; communicating maintenance needs to supervisors; and working in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment with exposure to loud noise, chemicals, and physical demands. Skills required include mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems expertise; troubleshooting PLCs, drives, servo systems, and robotics; basic metalworking including TIG welding and fabrication; data-entry and digital tools proficiency; and strong attention to detail to ensure safety, quality, and uptime. Shift options include PM (6PM-6AM) on a 2-2-3 schedule and 2nd shift (2-10PM) with differential. Education/experience requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent plus 2-year technical college/associates and/or Journeyman license, and a minimum of 7 years mechanical experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment. Compensation starts at $41.12/hour with applicable shift bonuses and overtime prospects; benefits include insurance on day one, 401k match, PTO/holidays, maternity/paternity leave, education reimbursement, and a set schedule with overtime allowances.
