Job Summary
Industrial Mechanic position involving diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment and hand tools, and employing SAP maintenance to record actions. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, drawings, and schematics; maintaining and inspecting equipment; replacing defective parts with hoists, overhead cranes, and power tools; applying knowledge of bearings, power transmission equipment, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, welding, rigging, and gearboxes; compiling mechanical maintenance reports and ensuring safe work practices with PPE. Requires ability to stand for long periods, work in rotating shifts (including weekends/holidays), and proficiency with precision measurement instruments; prior welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience with welding, cutting, fabrication, and equipment maintenance preferred
- Minimum 1 year field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment preferred
- Minimum 3 years of field experience in either heavy industrial operations and/or manufacturing environment strongly preferred
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work in heights for extended periods of time in extreme temperatures
- Ability to utilize precision measurement instruments
