Job Summary
Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment related to the gelatin process; perform routine, preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment; troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; develop general knowledge of utilities operation and upkeep particular to PB Leiner; competencies in pumps, valves, steam, refrigeration, and electrical systems; PLC/instrumentation, servos/actuators, and specialty sensors; ammonia refrigeration training; interpret mechanical and electrical schematics; work alone or as part of a team; safety, food safety, and quality standards adherence; use SAP and forklift operations; probationary period includes training in safety, boiler operations, refrigeration operations and SOPs, power distribution, process operations, SAP, food safety, forklift, and critical equipment.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year technical degree or 2+ years in an industrial or automotive maintenance
- Experience with pumps, valves, steam, refrigeration, and electrical systems
- Experience with PLC/ instrumentation, servos/ actuators, and specialty sensors
- Formal ammonia refrigeration training
- Ability to interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Meet physical requirements for the job
- Ability to work alone or as a team
- Proficient in basic computer use
- Good communication skills
