Job Summary

Industrial Maintenance Technician at ICP Group provides maintenance support for mechanical and electrical equipment to maximize plant uptime. Responsibilities include adhering to OSHA safety requirements, completing required safety trainings, wearing PPE, performing preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, conveyors, filler lines and related equipment, troubleshooting equipment issues with repair timelines, wiring motors and low/high voltage equipment, maintaining a clean and safe maintenance shop, managing safety documentation (LOTO, Confined Space, Hot Work), coordinating preventive maintenance tasks, and communicating status to supervision. Required skills include installing/repairing pumps and gearboxes, electrical control systems, ability to install and wire 100 hp motors and VFDs, reading and interpreting technical documents, welding certifications with pipe fitting and electrical capabilities, experience with CMMS and safety programs, and strong mechanical problem-solving abilities; additional experience with asphalt-related equipment and advanced engineering/technical training are noted. Working conditions include physical demands such as lifting up to 70 lbs and working at heights, with an emphasis on safety and effective communication.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years performing mechanical duties in a manufacturing or similar environment
  • Highly experienced background installing/repairing air pumps, PD Pumps, pneumatic valves, gearboxes
  • Experience with Electrical Control Systems
  • Ability to install and wire 100 hp electric motors, limit switches, photoelectric sensors, VFD’s
  • Exhibit a strong problem-solving aptitude when it comes to mechanical equipment
  • Operate Forklift, Man Lift, Scissor Lift, or other similar equipment
  • Order parts, check paperwork on receipt of parts
  • Attend safety meetings, conduct safety audits
  • Safely perform all other duties as required by supervisor on an as needed basis
  • Computer skills
  • Welding certifications plus strong pipe fitting and electrical skills
  • Able to read technical documents
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs
  • Background working with asphalt related products or equipment
  • Advanced education or training in engineering, mechanics or technical related fields
  • Understanding of boiler and hot oil systems
  • Maintain effective and positive communication utilizing reading, writing, and documentation creation in English for manufacturing staff, CMMS, and support services
