Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on recycling equipment including shredders, conveyors, magnets, and sorting systems. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems while diagnosing failures to minimize downtime. Conduct routine inspections, document activities, and perform welding, cutting, and fabrication as required. Read schematics, maintain drive systems, and support equipment installations. Follow all safety, environmental, and lockout/tagout procedures while communicating status with supervisors. Requires 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, high school diploma, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Weekly bonuses and full benefits package.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces
- Ability to work outdoors and indoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and shifts as required
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery, noise, dust and metal materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of industrial equipment
- Basic electrical troubleshooting experience (motors, controls, sensors)
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications
- Technical or trade school training
- Experience in metals recycling or scrap processing operations
- PLC trouble shooting experience
- Forklift, manlift, or crane operation experience
Additional Requirements
- Comfortable working around heavy machinery, noise, dust and metal materials
