Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Technician at TDP Bakery (Chattanooga, TN) responsible for scheduled and unscheduled electro-mechanical repairs, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation on plant equipment and facility systems in a food manufacturing environment. Performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment stoppages, troubleshoots and repairs motors, control devices, PLCs, VFDs, and related components, interprets electrical schematics/blueprints, tests equipment post-repair, and ensures compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and safety standards. Requires hands-on experience with industrial maintenance, electrical systems, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, ability to diagnose problems, replace/repair parts, and maintain equipment reliability in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Strong emphasis on improving equipment performance, safety, and operational efficiency; weekend availability and part-time schedule are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of commercial or industrial maintenance-related experience and/or training
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred
- Experience with low-voltage and high-voltage electrical systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints
- Demonstrated understanding of industrial electrical controls, VFDs, HMIs, and PLCs
- Ability to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test equipment and machinery, and make adjustments
- Strong mechanical and electro-mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Part-time availability of at least three days per week, with weekend availability strongly preferred
- Flexibility to support the needs of the department, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and occasional on-call support
