Industrial Maintenance Technician | Nights

Job Summary

Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, piping, and electrical systems following specifications, blueprints, and OEM manuals. Visually inspect and test machinery using electrical and electronic test equipment, dismantle defective units, and replace gauges, valves, and piping components. Perform preventive maintenance by daily lubricating machinery, conducting setups, and changeovers as production demands. Follow work orders and maintenance request forms to repair assigned machinery while adhering to GMPs, safety protocols, PPE, and Lock Out-Tag Out procedures. Travel throughout production areas, climb ladders, and work in refrigerated warehouses or oven environments. Requires 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, proficiency with shop tools, and ability to interpret written and diagrammatic instructions. Full-time role with flexible hours based on operational needs.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Vocational trade school or 2 to 4 years equivalent professional experience in mechanical or electrical trade
  • 3-5 years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Thorough knowledge of shop tools
  • Ability to write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar
  • Excellent reading skills
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
  • Excellent math skills, including knowledge of practical application of fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, measurement, practical algebra, geometric construction
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel)
  • Ability and skill sets to use inhouse computer based system (i.e. SAP)
  • Basic welding skills in arc, Tig and Mig
  • Must be able to travel throughout Production areas
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stoop, kneel and crawl in small spaces
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift occasional heavy loads (75 lbs.)
  • Must be able to work flexible hours based upon needs of operation
  • Must be able to occasionally work from heights and on the roof

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of probability and statistical analysis
  • Industrial (high volume) food processing experience, particularly frozen foods
  • Knowledge of batch cooking operations, ovens, freezers, cooler, fryers and high speed packaging equipment
  • Bilingual
