Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Technician – Mechanical role at Rhoads Industries in Philadelphia, responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and performing monthly preventive maintenance on large fabrication equipment, forklifts, scissor lifts, and air compressors; maintain maintenance records; manage spare parts inventory; support multiple projects with ability to meet deadlines; requires reading and following ISO 9000 procedures and ASME/AISC requirements; must be able to work flexible hours/overtime and pass background checks including drug screening; must have a valid driver’s license and OSHA-10 within 90 days of hire; strong mechanical and electrical repair skills and ability to learn continuously; collaborates with project teams and customers; physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working in an industrial environment.” ,
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical certification or associate degree in industrial mechanics or maintenance technology (preferred)
- ASE certification (preferred)
- Overhead Crane Certification (preferred)
- Mobile Equipment Certification (preferred)
- Air Compressor Certification (preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery
- Experience with welding machines, breakers, and wiring for electrical circuitry
- OSHA 10 certification (to be completed within 90 days of hire)
- Ability to pass background checks including Motor Vehicle Check and drug screening
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
