Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial production machinery by interpreting blueprints, cutting and welding metal parts, and replacing malfunctioning components. Diagnose equipment issues using test results and error messages, then reassemble and operate repaired machinery to verify functionality. Complete work orders accurately, clean and lubricate equipment, and manage parts inventory by identifying needs and requisitioning materials. Perform building and grounds maintenance, operate aerial platforms safely, and assist electricians with mechanical tasks while complying with all lockout/tagout procedures. Occasionally travel off-site for training and parts acquisition.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years as a maintenance mechanic or performing maintenance work as part of a maintenance department
- Must work in a safe, clean and ethical manner at all times
- Occasional travel off-site for the purpose of: Training and information gathering to support the implementation of new production equipment
- Obtaining parts to get machines and equipment back into production
- Completion of training and applicable certification for forklift, high lift, boom lift, and lock out tagout
- Must work well with others
- Effective communicator, and able to plan, prioritize and organize work effectively and efficiently
- Must possess a positive attitude, willingness to learn and have good attendance
