Job Summary
Inspect and diagnose electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electronic components on manufacturing and support equipment, including robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers. Install, repair, and program electrical systems and replace faulty components such as relays, motors, and printed circuit boards. Operate metal fabricating equipment like lathes and mills, while interpreting blueprints and job orders to plan wiring layouts and install conduit. Create and modify PLC and robot programs to test for malfunctions and verify repairs. Requisition spare parts, maintain repair logs, and set up training for co-workers. Work without supervision, with less than 24 hours' notice, and potentially on holidays or during shutdowns. This role supports Kruger Family Industries' leadership in heavy gauge thermoformed plastics and automotive accessories during an exciting growth phase.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate from college or technical school
- seven years related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of robotics
- PLC controllers
- current knowledge of state and local electrical codes
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to regularly talk or hear
- Ability to frequently walk
- Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
- Ability to frequently stand and climb or balance
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to have close vision
- Ability to have color vision
- Ability to come in or work overtime with less than 24 hours' notice
- Ability to work without supervision
