Job Summary
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on bakery equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. Perform electrical welding, gas welding, cutting, soldering, pipe fittings, and metal fabrication. Identify, inspect, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components, including rebuilding drive components and verifying timing. Execute preventive maintenance, lubrication, and part replacement using SAP software for reporting. Maintain a clean work environment and comply with all company policies and regulatory licenses for boilers and refrigeration. Rotate job assignments across various bakery areas and complete required training on evolving technological improvements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty (20) feet
- Ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to climb onto and under machinery
- Technical mindset
- Strong mechanical capabilities
- Flexibility and adaptability
- Aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training
- Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a technician in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field
- Technical/Trade School certification or diploma
