Job Summary
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on bakery equipment, prioritizing safety and quality standards. Execute electrical welding, gas welding, cutting, soldering, and metal fabrication including milling and lathe work. Identify, inspect, and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components; rebuild drive components such as clutches and brakes. Verify mechanical timing, conduct preventive maintenance, and replace conveyor parts using SAP software for reporting. Rotate assignments across various bakery areas while maintaining a clean, safe work environment and complying with all company policies. Possess or obtain licenses for boilers and refrigeration components. High school diploma required; 1+ years of technical experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to climb fixed and portable ladders to a height of twenty (20) feet
- Ability to stoop and bend while lifting weights up to fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to climb onto and under machinery
- Technical mindset
- Strong mechanical capabilities
- Flexibility and adaptability to rotate job assignments throughout various areas of the bakery
- Aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training
- Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as a technician in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field
- Technical/Trade School certification or diploma
