Job Summary
Maintenance Technician responsible for day-to-day and long-term maintenance of complex foundry and mill equipment in an industrial manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and rebuilding production machinery; operating mobile equipment (forklift, skid steer, shop crane, scissor lift, articulating man lift) as needed; interpreting safety and work instructions to meet specifications. Requirements include reading mechanical drawings/blueprints, knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, bearing and gear systems, pumps (centrifugal, diaphragm, piston), and use of precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators). The role emphasizes initiative, multitasking, and teamwork with basic computer skills.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Must possess a basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot general mechanical systems such as hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating assemblies
- Knowledge in troubleshooting and rebuilding various types of pumps (centrifugal, diaphragm, piston)
- Must have the ability to use precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators)
- Must have initiative, multitasking skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Basic Computer Skills
