Job Summary
Monitor and maintain plant systems and equipment, including balers, conveyors, motors, and hydraulic power packs, by performing repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and diagnosing failures. Respond to system breakdowns with corrective action and service calls, while managing the Daily Equipment Inspections backlog and adjusting work procedures to meet production schedules. Inspect third-party repairs and recommend improvements to equipment performance and product quality. Perform duties in compliance with WM Safety, Life Critical Rules, and OSHA standards, requiring flexibility for nights, weekends, and inclement weather.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- Requires a flexible work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Conveyor belts
- Millwright experience
- Agricultural machinery maintenance - or similar relatable skills
- Waste Industry or Recycling Maintenance Experience is a Plus
