Performs preventive maintenance on plant production assets; troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, air, and hydraulic systems; determines corrective actions and repair parts; repairs and lubricates machinery; assembles/install equipment using hand and power tools; examines parts for defects; tests operation with voltmeters and other devices; reassembles equipment after service; reads manuals and blueprints to install/operate machinery; basic stick welding and oxy-acetylene torch cutting; must be able to operate computer-based maintenance software; must supply own hand tools.
