Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Diagnose and repair mechanical failures on production equipment while performing preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime. Install, align, and maintain motors, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, and fans, replacing bearings, chains, sprockets, belts, and seals as needed. Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems, read mechanical drawings and schematics, and maintain accurate records using a CMMS. Perform basic fabrication, welding, and cutting, and respond to emergency breakdowns during production. Work safely following OSHA regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Assist with equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects. Full time hours, overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems
- Experience with welding (MIG, TIG, or Stick) and fabrication
- Familiarity with bearings, alignment, lubrication, and precision measurements
- Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures, heights, and confined spaces
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or rotating shifts as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Industrial manufacturing or sawmill experience
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Forklift, boom lift, or scissor lift certification
- Millwright experience
- CMMS experience (Fiix, SAP, etc.)
- Basic electrical troubleshooting (480V, motors, sensors, VFDs)
