Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including motors, conveyers, and electrical wiring. Troubleshoot single-phase and 240v systems using blueprints, schematics, and electronic test equipment. Adhere to all safety rules, wear required protective gear, and participate in safety committees. Integrate sustainability into daily practices and long-term strategy. Work in plant, warehouse, and production areas, tolerating high and low temperatures and loud noises. Coverage may extend beyond normal hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- This position requires the ability to read, write and speak in English
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to provide clear, explicit verbal directions
- Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures
- Ability to tolerate loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
- Overtime and Overtime on Saturdays, as needed
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of relevant and applicable experience in a maintenance position in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment preferred
- Electrician certification preferred
- A high level of understanding and experience diagnosing and correcting issues
- Ability to create a positive learning environment
