Job Summary
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, piping, and electrical equipment to minimize downtime and maintain systems in 'Like New' condition. Troubleshoot equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and perform precision welding, fabrication, and installation using shop tools like lathes and milling machines. Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs while ensuring proper lubrication and adhering to strict safety policies, GMPs, and OSHA rules. Document all work for historical analysis and participate in proactive activities such as FMEA's and root cause corrective actions. Requires 3-5 years of food manufacturing experience, ability to lift 50 lbs, and flexibility to work weekends and shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
- 3-5 years of related experience in packing/production machines with specific experience in a food manufacturing plant preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills (Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with co-workers and vendors)
- Ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, maintain, and repair complex mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical components and systems
- Must be flexible to work weekends and other shifts as needed
- Able to work well independently, self-motivated, and as a team member
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the position requiring heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying tools and supplies, kneeling, stooping, climbing, and standing on feet for long periods of time
- Authorized to work in the United States
