Job Summary
Perform routine and emergency repair duties following GMP, SOPs, HACCP processes, and safety procedures. Monitor and inspect equipment for mechanical soundness, making necessary repairs and escalating complex issues. Conduct preventative maintenance, maintain good housekeeping, and ensure accurate record-keeping. Wear required PPE and attend safety meetings and trainings. Maintain and secure issued tools, reporting any missing or damaged items. Requires high school diploma, one year of relevant experience, and knowledge of metal fabrication, electrical wiring, and motors. Ability to operate equipment like forklifts and work flexible hours with on-call availability.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 1+ year of relevant experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role
- Some experience in metal fabrication, feed equipment mechanics, electrical wiring, and motors
- Good reading, writing, and math skills
- Ability to operate relevant equipment (i.e., forklift, tractor, shuttle wagon, etc.)
- Detail-orientated with the ability to maintain accuracy in data entry
- Ability to follow detailed instructions
- Good communication, organization, time-management, and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours and be on call as needed
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Occasional travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 55 pounds
