Job Summary
Plant Maintenance Technician at WM (3rd shift) responsible for maintaining plant equipment such as balers, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, and related systems. Key duties include preventive maintenance inspections, diagnosing, repairing and rebuilding major equipment, reducing downtime, maintaining DEI backlog, ensuring safety and compliance with OSHA, adapting procedures to production schedules, assisting with improvements to equipment performance, and handling emergency breakdown calls. The role requires multitasking across priorities, working with limited supervision, and availability for nights and weekends as needed. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, the position involves working with cutting-edge equipment in a material recycling/industrial setting with a focus on reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
