Job Summary
Complete all designated maintenance or repair of production equipment and building systems of moderate to high complexity on an independent basis. Diagnose and make complex repairs while applying proficiency in at least one building trade or function. Perform work productively and safely, adhering to requirements for lifting up to 50 lbs, continuous standing, and frequent walking. Work mandatory overtime or respond to emergency calls as needed during the Tuesday through Saturday schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Receive on-the-job training through Sheridan Academy and enjoy a hiring bonus after 12 weeks.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED/HiSET
- 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Basic verbal and written communication skills
- Able to diagnose and make complex repairs on equipment
- General knowledge of all building trades
- Basic computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn the job and perform work productively and safely
- Reliable; good attendance
- Ability to work mandatory overtime or be on emergency call as needed
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to a maximum of 50 lbs. frequently
- Continuous standing
- Frequent walking and stooping
- Occasional sitting, crouching, and reaching/working overhead
- Good visual acuity and manual dexterity
- Ability to wear hearing protection and safety shoes
- Schedule is Tuesday – Saturday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM – 40 hours/week
