Job Summary
Maintain and repair ready-mix plant equipment, including power transmission components, conveyors, and pneumatics, to support safe, reliable operations. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective repairs to restore production, utilizing welding and fabrication skills as needed. Conduct preventive maintenance inspections on automation-related components and use technology to track repairs and downtime schedules. Communicate priorities and timelines with plant personnel, dispatch, and the maintenance team while adhering to all safety requirements and wearing provided PPE. Work early mornings, some Saturdays, and extended hours during peak season, traveling locally between sites in company vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in an industrial or mechanical maintenance role
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with power transmissions, conveyors, controls, and pneumatics
- Welding experience
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and strong follow-through
- Safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with plant teams and maintenance teammates
- No DUI/DWI/OWI in the last 5 years
- A commitment to a drug-free lifestyle and willingness to complete drug/alcohol screenings
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in an industrial or mechanical maintenance role
- Electrical/PLC troubleshooting experience
- Ready-mix/aggregate industry experience
