Job Summary
Maintain and repair ready-mix plant equipment, including material handling systems, conveyors, augers, and pneumatics, to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective repairs, welding, and preventive maintenance inspections on power transmission components and automation systems. Track repairs and downtime schedules while communicating priorities with plant personnel and dispatch. Work independently in all weather conditions, following strict safety requirements and wearing provided PPE. Early mornings, some Saturdays, and extended hours during peak season or breakdown events.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in an industrial or mechanical maintenance role
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with power transmissions
- Experience with conveyors
- Experience with controls
- Experience with pneumatics
- Welding experience
- Ability to work independently
- Strong follow-through
- Safety-minded
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- No DUI/DWI/OWI in the last 5 years
- A commitment to a drug-free lifestyle
- Willingness to complete drug/alcohol screenings
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in an industrial or mechanical maintenance role
- Electrical troubleshooting experience
- PLC troubleshooting experience
- Ready-mix/aggregate industry experience
