Job Summary
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial printing and manufacturing equipment, including gearboxes, bearings, compressors, and drive systems. Perform preventive maintenance, install mechanical components, and execute upgrades to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime. Read blueprints and technical documentation while collaborating with production teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a safe, organized work environment and adhere to all safety policies. Requires previous industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting, with preferred expertise in printing equipment, welding, hydraulics, and blueprint reading. Ability to work a 12-hour compressed schedule, lift 50 pounds, and work extended periods on feet. Located at Quad's Hartford manufacturing campus.
Required Qualifications
- Previous industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for industrial manufacturing equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and maintenance documentation
- Ability to work a 12-hour compressed schedule, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in maintaining and repairing industrial printing equipment
- Training or experience in welding, hydraulics, blueprint reading, and machine trades mathematics
