Job Summary
Install, inspect, repair, and maintain industrial machinery and production equipment while troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems. Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently, reading blueprints and schematics to diagnose issues. Align, assemble, and install machinery with precision, fabricate and weld components for custom repairs, and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime. Work closely with production, fabrication, and leadership teams to improve equipment reliability and shop efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) certification or are working toward it
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, trailer manufacturing, or heavy equipment
- Welding and fabrication experience
- Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, pumps, and power transmission systems
- Experience with predictive and preventative maintenance programs
- Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging experience
