Job Summary
Monitor and maintain all plant systems and equipment, including balers, conveyors, motors, and compressors, by performing repairs, preventive maintenance inspections, and rebuilding major components. Respond immediately to system failures to complete or assign corrective actions ensuring safe and efficient operation. Manage the Daily Equipment Inspections backlog, inspect third-party repairs, and establish work procedures to meet production schedules. Perform service calls for emergency breakdowns while strictly complying with WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA standards, and established safety procedures. Maintain a clean work area and advise the Senior Plant Maintenance Manager on additional work needs or Standard Repair Time adjustments. Requires flexible scheduling including nights and weekends to support facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
- Successfully complete pre-employment screening, including drug screen and physical
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to perform under limited supervision
- Requires a flexible work schedule, which may include nights and weekends to support operating schedule and the needs of the facility
