Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while adhering to Tyson policies. Perform duties including welding, cutting, electrical repair, and replacing motor shafts, couplings, pumps, and valves. Read and understand assignments, schematics, and drawings for hydraulic and basic electrical systems. Use electrical and pneumatic power tools and equipment with applied mechanical ability. Complete all required training and maintain a safe work environment. This 6:00pm to 6:00am rotating shift requires lifting 50 pounds or more and standing for 8-12 hour days in varying temperatures. Required Qualifications
- Applied mechanical ability documented in the work history section of the application
- Graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
- Good work record (no written discipline in the last 6 months, no written suspension in the last 12 months)
- Good attendance (4 points or below)
- Must have completed the 90-day probationary period
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be willing and able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- Must be able to walk or stand on hard floors for 8-12 hour days
- Must be able to stand, stoop, climb ladders, change work levels, twist, squat, climb stairs, reach, push, pull, and move about the facility
- Must be able to work in a cold, damp to hot environment
- Must be able to read & understand assignments
- Must be able to communicate orally & in writing
- Must be able to use basic knowledge of math
- Must be able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment
- Must be able to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems
- Must be able to complete all required training for the job
- Must be able to perform welding

- Must be able to perform electrical repair and troubleshooting
- Must be able to perform removing, replacement of motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water pipes, valves, lines, and systems
