Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair all equipment and company assets while adhering to safety policies and procedures. Perform duties including welding, cutting, electrical repair, and replacing motor shafts, couplings, pumps, augers, water pipes, valves, lines, and systems. Read and understand assignments, schematics for hydraulic and electrical systems, and utilize various power tools. Complete all required training for the job. This role operates on a rotating 6:00 pm to 6:00 am schedule within a six-day week at Tyson Foods' sausage crumbles and dry sausage facility in South Hutchinson, KS. New hires receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments.
Required Qualifications
- 1-year industrial maintenance experience and/or industrial maintenance education combined
- Must have applied mechanical ability documented in the work history section of the application or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
- Must be willing and able to lift and carry 50 pounds or more
- Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to read drawings & schematics of hydraulic & basic electrical systems
- Must be able to use various electrical & pneumatic power tools & equipment
- Must be able to use basic knowledge of math
- Must be able to read & understand assignments
- Must be able to communicate orally & in writing
