Job Summary
Troubleshoot, maintain and repair equipment in Tyson Foods' Waterloo plant on 1st shift (A Shift) for fully cooked, ready-to-eat production. Perform hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical and mechanical work, including some welding, and set up/break down production line machinery. Complete daily documentation and follow USDA/ Tyson policies and procedures. Attend safety training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, LOTO) and read manuals as required. Must wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, hair net/beard guard, steel-toed boots, gloves) and be able to lift 70+ lbs. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and some holidays; strong attention to detail and effective communication with team members and management.
Required Qualifications
- At least one year of mechanic work experience with one or more employers
- or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
