Industrial Maintenance Machinist

Job Summary
Conduct hands-on fabrication, modification, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance for machine shop equipment using written instructions, schematics, and work orders. Select proper materials, operate welding techniques, and perform heat treatments including annealing, tempering, and case hardening. Repair, assemble, disassemble, level, align, and adjust machinery to machine tips and dies to tolerance of .0005. Diagnose equipment problems and make necessary repairs given proper tools, prints, and specifications. Work independently with strong attention to detail, utilizing precision measuring tools and reading the Machinist Handbook.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and maintain close attention to detail
- Ability to read/use precision measuring tools (e.g., micrometers)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Basic computer literacy
- Strong English skills in reading, writing, and verbal communication
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Ability to pass a physical
Desired Qualifications
- Prior manufacturing experience
- Extrusion/wire drawing/cabling experience
- 3+ years machining / tool and die experience (plant environment)
