Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Lubrication Technician responsible for ensuring proper lubrication of machinery and equipment to optimize performance and lifespan. Duties include routine lubrication of bearings, gears, and moving parts; inspecting equipment for lubrication needs; monitoring lubricant levels and quality; maintaining records via CMMS; diagnosing lubrication-related issues; sustaining a safety-first culture in a designated safety-sensitive role; and supporting PMs and housekeeping tasks as needed. Requires high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of industrial maintenance or lubrication experience; proficiency with lubrication tools and equipment; knowledge of lubricant types and applications; strong attention to detail, problem-solving, communication, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Beneficial certifications in industrial maintenance or lubrication (MLT1 preferred) are a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance or lubrication
- Basic mechanical skillset
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and the functions of them
- Proficient in using lubrication tools and equipment
- Strong understanding of lubrication principles, types of lubricants, and their applications
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and sense of urgency
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrate a high level of customer service and strong communication (both listening and speaking) and interpersonal skills
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job but with minimal direct supervision
- An understanding of the Safety Requirements for equipment and tools
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to complete a required pulmonary function test and a fit test to wear a respirator which requires the individual to be clean shaven with the exception of a mustache not extending beyond the edges of the mouth
- Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
