Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance & Facilities Engineer role overseeing equipment, buildings, and repairs across multiple sites. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing production equipment (washers, dryers, presses, boilers, conveyors), performing preventative maintenance to reduce downtime, handling building repairs (plumbing, lighting, doors, drywall, paint, locks), supporting retail stores, production plant, and office locations, coordinating outside vendors/contractors, improving equipment reliability and facility appearance, maintaining accurate maintenance logs, and ensuring safe work practices and OSHA compliance. Requires hands-on, independent work style with strong mechanical skills, tool proficiency, and a valid driver’s license. Schedule is full-time with Monday–Friday daytime hours and occasional after-hours emergency response; location is Mishawaka, IN (in-person).
Required Qualifications
- Maintenance, facilities, industrial, or manufacturing experience
- Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, welding, or boiler knowledge
- Preventative maintenance systems experience
- Multi-site property or equipment maintenance experience
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Experience with tools, repairs, and troubleshooting
- Able to work independently and prioritize tasks
- Reliable and self-motivated
- Good communication skills
