Job Summary
Provide troubleshooting expertise to maintenance personnel for electrical and electronic systems on manufacturing machinery. Identify opportunities for improvements in safety, maintainability, reliability, and operability, executing small projects from conception through commissioning. Specify electrical components to optimize standardization and reliability while assisting in the maintenance electrician training program. Manage machine control software applications and address factory floor downtime issues. Requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with three years of hands-on experience in PLC systems, power distribution, and industrial instrumentation.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Technology
- At least three years of hands-on experience performing troubleshooting or engineering related functions
- PLC based control systems
- Three phase power distribution systems
- Industrial instrumentation
- Variable Frequency Drives and induction motors
- Skill with creating electrical schematics with AutoCAD
- The ability to manage multiple projects while being available to assist maintenance personnel with factory floor downtime issues
- The ability to self-motivate and complete independent assignments or components of group projects in a timely manner
- The aptitude and desire to be a good student of Poly-America processes, equipment, and procedures
- Successfully passing a drug screen
