Job Summary
Industrial Maintenance Electrician/Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and automated controls for production equipment. Requires experience with AC/DC motors, PLCs, electrical drives, and reading schematics/blueprints; perform routine inspections, maintain maintenance records, and provide technical support to maintenance and production teams. Opportunities for advancement, overtime, and incentive-based earnings are available.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of an electrical entrance examination.
- 3–5 years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience, including preventative and routine maintenance.
- Working knowledge of shop mathematics and the ability to use drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
- AC/DC motor theory
- PLC troubleshooting
- Electrical drives
- Industrial electrical controls
- NFPA 70E safety practices
- High-voltage electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Experience using common electrical maintenance hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
