Job Summary
Troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment while performing diagnostic work and preventive maintenance tasks. Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System to administer work orders, update schedules, and manage spare parts inventory for critical assets. Coordinate outside repair technicians and support Facilities team members on projects across manufacturing departments. Respond to emergency calls after hours as required and maintain a safe working environment by adhering to lock out/tag out and electrical safety protocols. This Journeyman or Master Electrician role requires a current MA license, 10+ years of hands-on experience, and the ability to read schematics and interpret control diagrams.
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalent with 10+ years of hands-on experience in the electrical trade
- Current Journeyman or Master Electrician, Licensed in MA
- Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment, including wiring methods, distribution equipment, motors and transformers, control centers, and generators
- Working knowledge of electrical/electronic controls, pumps, and mechanical systems
- Familiarity with machine guarding systems, safety controls, and interlocks
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, manuals, schematics, and control diagrams
- Computer proficiency, specifically with Microsoft Windows, Excel, and Word
- Must be able to lift 35+ lbs
- Must be able to work from heights
- Must have a current driver's license
- Must be able to respond to emergency calls after hours when required
Desired Qualifications
- NFPA 70e training
- Working knowledge of fire alarm systems and components
- The ability to troubleshoot and program PLC's
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems
- Working knowledge of building management systems and controls
