Job Summary
Operate, maintain, and improve industrial production systems while reducing equipment downtime under direct supervision. Follow safety and environmental requirements, learn standard operating procedures, and participate in developing maintenance plans and spare parts lists. Observe corrective and preventative maintenance, interpret mechanical specifications, and document activities in SAP. Use systematic problem-solving tools to troubleshoot equipment issues and suggest practical improvements to work practices. Maintain active enrollment in a post-secondary industrial maintenance program and demonstrate mechanical aptitude with hand and power tools.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Current enrollment in an appropriate post-secondary educational program directly related to industrial maintenance
- Maintaining active enrollment, in good standing, in the post-secondary educational program related to industrial maintenance
- Basic computer literacy, including the ability to work with MS Office applications like Word & Excel
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Demonstrated skill in the use of small hand & power tools, mechanical equipment & materials applicable to industrial maintenance & pharmaceutical production
- A systematic approach to problem solving & troubleshooting
- Ability to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in planning/organizing work, managing execution, checking results & revising work plans
