Job Summary
Repair or replace minor and major system components, including electrical parts, hydraulics, mechanical systems, L.P. systems, power steering, transmissions, and engines on various material handling equipment. Troubleshoot forklift-related issues and perform proper preventative maintenance in a timely manner. Service and repair miscellaneous equipment such as electric carts, trailers, and yard equipment. This role requires a minimum of three years of forklift mechanic experience, the ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics, and physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds. Candidates must pass pre-employment tests including drug screens, background checks, and functional capacity exams. The position is a straight 1st shift, Monday through Friday, with an hourly rate of $33.32.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Forklift Mechanic
- Must be willing to work 1st shift
- Must pass pre-employment tests including a drug screen, background check, physical, Functional Capacity & Respirator exams
- Must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
- Able to read and understand electrical and hydraulic system schematics
- Ability to work in a team environment
