Job Summary
Conduct triage, first-aid, and ergonomic assessments to support injured employees and prevent musculoskeletal injuries. Facilitate communication with parties managing injury cases, monitor medical care, and assist in accident investigations. Provide on-the-job education, coaching, and lifestyle improvements in areas like nutrition and fitness to promote total worker health. Develop agility routines and work hardening programs while maintaining records of care and education provided. Proactively engage with employees at work locations to mitigate risks and optimize body mechanics. Work outdoors in various weather conditions, managing multiple priorities and communicating effectively with diverse audiences.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Science, Physical Education, or related field
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation method
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience in Injury and illness prevention and wellness promotion
- Experience in Examination, assessment, and diagnosis
- Experience in Immediate and emergency care
- Experience in Therapeutic intervention
- Experience in Health care administration and professional responsibility
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability of maintaining privacy and confidentiality
- Critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in accordance with company policy and procedures
- Take initiative on issues that arise daily
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Must have the ability to maintain a professional approach with others in job-demanding, multitasking and/or project support situations
- Ability to create and edit written materials
- Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences
- Have the skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Requires regular and predictable attendance and punctuality
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and have the ability to learn new software as needed
- Ability to walk long distances - greater than two miles per shift
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Bending, stretching, and the ability to frequently get in and out of a vehicle
- Working under stress and use of computer/phone required
- Manual dexterity required for use of computer keyboard
- Ability to stand, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in orthopedics, wellness, industrial/occupational health, or ergonomic experience
- Master's Degree in relevant field
- Ergonomic Certification
- BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, in good standing
- At least 3 years' relevant experience
