Job Summary
Conduct field risk assessments and maintain testing schedules for lead, asbestos, mold, and air quality control across shooting ranges and various locations. Perform life safety inspections for eyewash stations, emergency lighting, and fire extinguishers while tracking issues and facilitating resolution with Environmental Program personnel. Assist with training course development, EHS newsletter creation, and the implementation of the Hazard Communication Program to ensure chemical inventory compliance. Act as a safety resource for employee inquiries regarding USSS safety aspects and support accident/incident investigation metrics reporting. Maintain equipment calibration lists and stay abreast of OSHA and other safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in safety or industrial hygiene
- BS degree
- EPA training
- State/District licensing for asbestos
- State/District licensing for lead-based paint
- Ability to work in the field
- Performing lead assessments
- Air quality control involving Mold, Asbestos, and lead
- Assisting with testing (noise, air sampling, ventilation, surface wipe, etc.)
- Stay abreast of OSHA and other safety requirements
- Support the Hearing Conservation Program
- Support the Environmental Program
