Job Summary
Sr. Principal Engineer EHS at Northrop Grumman in Saint Augustine, FL, focusing on environmental health and safety program leadership. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting existing and proposed EHS regulations to determine applicability and impact on operations; assisting with the development, implementation and maintenance of EHS programs to ensure compliance, injury prevention and risk mitigation; conducting audits, industrial hygiene sampling, ergonomic assessments, and safety inspections; creating and updating Job Hazards Analyses; advising on PPE requirements; assisting during accident/incident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions; preparing and coordinating EHS training and delivering instructor-led sessions; participating in regulatory agency and external customer inspections and following up on findings; interfacing with safety committees, site leadership, and other support groups to address safety concerns; implementing EHS management systems and sector-level programs; supporting environmental compliance and sustainability programs as needed; required to travel ~10%; relocation assistance not provided; DoD Secret clearance required for start.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in occupational health and safety or related field with 8 years of experience OR Master’s Degree in occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, or related field with 6 years of experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
- Preferred: CSP or CIH certification (not mandatory for the required qualifications)
