Job Summary
Scientist 3 - Sr Project Scientist skilled in Indoor Air Quality and post-remediation verification assessments, including water intrusion/mold, moisture mapping, air sampling for mold and IAQ, and data interpretation. Responsibilities include preparing scopes of work and technical reports, conducting asbestos and lead-based paint surveys and oversight, performing industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring (chemical and noise exposures), conducting air monitoring and sound level surveys, recommending engineering/administrative controls to limit exposures, comparing exposures to regulatory limits (OSHA/ACGIH), and actively developing career growth. Strong emphasis on fieldwork, regulatory knowledge, data analysis, and clear written/verbal communication.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS in Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science/Engineering or related field
- Master’s degree a plus
- 5+ years of technical experience in industrial hygiene, asbestos, and lead sampling
- Asbestos, lead and/or lead inspector certifications preferred
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations
- Ability to work in respirator and protective clothing
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Valid driver's license with good driving history and reliable transportation
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour Trained with current 8-hour refresher preferred
- 70-80% fieldwork/travel required

- EHS certifications/licensures highly desired
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour training with refresher preferred
