Industrial Hygiene Technician

Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Associate or Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering/Science or comparable discipline
• •MI Asbestos Inspector Certification
• •Minimum of two years of experience in conducting Hazardous Materials Surveys including comprehensive asbestos evaluation for building rehabilitation and demolition projects
• •Knowledge of air monitoring and on-site microscopic analysis during asbestos abatement projects
• •Must have strong written and oral communication skills
• •Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
• •Demonstrated collaborative approach to problem-solving
• •Ability to interact with clients to understand their needs
• •Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• •Ability to work on projects for multiple project managers within budgets and timelines
• •Must hold a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance
• •Willingness to travel to and conduct field work at job sites as well as NTH offices in Michigan
• •Must be able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs
• •Authorized to work full-time in the U.S.A.
• •In compliance with federal law, all persons hired are required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire
