Job Summary
Industrial Hygiene Technician responsible for conducting asbestos, lead-based paint, and other hazardous materials surveys, collecting environmental samples, and providing remediation oversight and reporting. Duties include field sampling, preparing chain-of-custody and location maps, developing detailed reports with methodology, results, and recommendations, calibrating and maintaining field equipment, and supporting regulatory compliance. Requires DOSH CSST/CAC certifications (or equivalents), CDPH LRC/ST or I/A certifications, a valid driver's license, ability to wear PPE, and relevant experience in asbestos, lead, and mold surveys, exposure assessments, and industrial hygiene practices. Senior-level role offering travel to project sites and adherence to Atlas health and safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- DOSH Certified Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) or DOSH Certified Asbestos Consultant (CAC) certification
- CDPH Lead Related Construction Sampling Technician (LRC ST) or CDPH LRC Inspector/Assessor (I/A) certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to wear a respirator and PPE
- Experience conducting asbestos, lead, and mold surveys
- Experience conducting exposure assessments and hazardous materials oversight
- Strong technical inspection and writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft software and applications
- Experience and knowledge in Industrial Hygiene and Building Sciences sampling equipment, protocols, and regulations
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, travel up to 50%
