Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and install residential and commercial HVAC equipment, including boilers, chillers, and cooling towers, while adhering to plumbing and electrical codes. Perform routine maintenance on assigned systems and own the preventive maintenance program for your area. Prioritize work order requests, coordinate with departments and residents, and recognize hazardous conditions requiring immediate action. Utilize building automation systems like Metasys and Automated Logic, and work independently with minimal supervision. Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend incidents, including weather-related events and snow removal as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Vocational or technical school in heating, ventilating, air conditioning
- Current Refrigeration Transition and Recovery Universal Certification covering Type 1, Type ll, and Type lll equipment
- Boiler certification or acquired within the first-year employment date
- Water Treatment Certification or acquired within two years of employment date
- Valid Driver's license
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the Industrial mechanical, electrical and plumbing trades
- Ability to repair and replace pumps, motors, and HVAC equipment
- Minimum of 5 years' in demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot and identify the correct and most cost-effective solutions
- Proven experience Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels within the organization
- Work with Excel & Microsoft programs
- Minimum basic end user of a keyboard, capable of data entry/inputting information in the electronic time management system
- Able to safely use hand tools and power tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Must be able to climb stairs/ladders
