Job Summary
Provide scheduled and emergency repairs for residential, commercial, and industrial generators during normal hours, weekends, and holidays. Detect faulty operations, defective material, and unusual situations, then report them to the service manager. Travel locally for service work while rotating first-to-call responsibility and maintaining parts inventory within the company vehicle. Create and submit reports for completed service and project updates. Requires 2+ years of mechanical experience with power generation or diesel engines, knowledge of AC and DC circuitry, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of mechanical experience with power generation, automotive, or diesel engines
- Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operations
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams
- Preventative maintenance and service experience with ability to travel locally
- Valid driver's license
- Experience with Generac, Kohler, CAT, Cummins, Katolight, Detroit, Volvo, Isuzu, John Deere, Champion, Honda, MTU, or Briggs & Stratton generators
