Industrial Generator Technician

Job Summary
Provide scheduled and emergency repairs for residential, commercial, and industrial generators during normal hours, weekends, and holidays. Detect faulty operations, defective materials, and unusual situations, then report findings to the service manager. Travel locally for service work while rotating first-to-call responsibility and maintaining parts inventory within the company vehicle. Create and submit reports for completed service and project updates. Requires 2+ years of mechanical experience with power generation or diesel engines, knowledge of wiring schematics, and a valid driver's license. This role is with an independent Generac distributor.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of mechanical experience with power generation, automotive, or diesel engines
- Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operations
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams
- Preventative maintenance and service experience with ability to travel locally
- Valid driver's license
- Bring your generator experience—Generac, Kohler, CAT, Cummins, Katolight, Detroit, Volvo, Isuzu, John Deere, Champion, Honda, MTU, or Briggs & Stratton
