Job Summary
Perform repairs and services on all makes and models of generator sets, including inspections, start-up load bank tests, and troubleshooting components like alternators, wiring harnesses, and battery systems. Diagnose engine operating performance for brands such as Kohler, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, and Volvo while maintaining assigned vehicle inventory and traveling throughout local counties. Respond to emergency service calls and apply proper engine technical skills for disassembly, failure analysis, and assembly. Requires 5+ years of service experience with power generation equipment, knowledge of AC/DC circuitry, and a valid driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of service experience with power generation equipment
- Knowledge of power generation; light tower, pumps, heating products, and transfer switch operations
- Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, and connection diagrams
- Preventative maintenance and service experience with ability to travel locally
- Valid driver's license
- Bring your generator experience— Generac, Kohler, Cummins, Detroit Diesel, John Deere, MTU, and Volvo
