Job Summary

Conduct third-shift sanitation activities by ensuring equipment is properly covered, clean, and sanitized in accordance with the Master Cleaning Schedule, USDA, and safety protocols. Train team members on procedures, cleaning chemicals, and equipment usage while providing constructive feedback and leading by positive example. Perform initial Pre-op inspections from a sanitation perspective, evaluate team performance, and communicate concerns to Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and QA. Operate power washers as required and assist with sanitation activities across lines and areas. Work flexible hours in a factory environment involving moving machinery, hot/cold conditions, and loud noise, adhering to strict safety standards regarding moving parts and chemical handling.

  • Understanding that chemicals are being used to clean/sanitize
  • Knowledge of proper use and storage of chemicals
  • Knowledge of PPE involved
  • Ability to demonstrate workable knowledge of chemical usage/cleaning
  • Ability to read and demonstrate understanding of cleaning chemicals used in their job role
  • Ability to travel throughout Production areas
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift occasional heavy loads (50 lbs.)
  • Ability to work flexible hours based upon needs of Operation
  • Ability to operate Power Washers for cleaning if required
  • Working knowledge and skills developed through formal training or work experience
  • Ability to work within established procedures
  • Ability to work with a moderate degree of supervision
  • Ability to identify the problem and all relevant issues in straightforward situations
  • Ability to assess each issue using standard procedures
  • Ability to make sound decisions
