Job Summary
Industrial Engineering Technician/Estimator role focused on preparing cost estimates and engineering documentation for new and revised products. Responsibilities include gathering/calculating estimating data for Sales Cost Requests, submitting RFQs to Purchasing, obtaining/reviewing tooling quotes, inputting manufacturing methods into ERP Estimating/Quoting Module, drafting Engineering Orders for new products/changes, updating approved BOMs and Routing in ERP, generating detailed Process Work Instructions, producing and revising production prints with SolidWorks, and participating in weekly Sales/Engineering Cost/Design Review meetings. Additional tasks may include Motion and Time Study for process rate determination and conducting actual vs. estimated cost audits. Ideal candidates will have SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD proficiency, strong MS Excel/Word skills, solid mechanical aptitude, and exposure to Lean Manufacturing methods.
Required Qualifications
- Two-year technical or financial degree preferred
- Proficiency using SOLIDWORKS and AutoCAD preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Solid mechanical aptitude
- Exposure to Lean Manufacturing Methods
- Ability to communicate and work with people at all levels of the office and factory floor
- Education – Two-year technical or financial degree preferred. Equivalent experience considered.
