Job Summary
Drive plant productivity and operational efficiency through time and motion studies, line balancing, and capacity optimization initiatives. Identify bottlenecks, eliminate idle time, and improve manpower utilization while implementing Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma practices to reduce waste and cycle time. Design improved plant layouts for better material flow and optimize workstation ergonomics. Track key metrics including productivity, efficiency, and cost savings to present insights to leadership. Reports to the Plant Head, managing a team of IE Managers and Industrial Engineers. Requires 12–18 years in manufacturing with expertise in appliance and consumer durable industries.
Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering
- 12–18 years in manufacturing
- Strong exposure to appliance / consumer durable / engineering industries
- Strong expertise in Time & motion study
- Strong expertise in Line balancing
- Strong expertise in Process optimization
- Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to drive cross-functional improvement initiatives
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Lean / Six Sigma (preferred)
- Candidates from high-volume manufacturing environments
- Experience in multi-product / assembly line setups
